LIVEwire News Briefs:EI Announces New Products, Grid WarsEngineered Intelligence (EI) announced the release of its new product MPI-XF, EXtremely Fast software for Message Passing Interface applications; the release 2.5 of CxC, the parallel application development environment that with higher performance and new feature; a partnership with HP, whereby HP will bundle and sell CxC on their LC Series Clusters; and support for the Apple Power Mac G5 -- the world's fastest personal computer. These new solutions are released and shipping. EI Announces Breakthrough MPI SolutionMPI-XF delivers unprecedented performance for programmers who use message passing, without requiring specialized hardware. EI will showcase the solution Nov. 17-21 in their booth #2019 at SC2003. EI Releases New Enhanced Version Of Cxc Parallel Programming SoftwareRunning CxC's virtual parallel computing benchmark on two processors, EI was able to achieve 250 percent of the standard LINPACK benchmark performance of a single Itanium processor configuration. This super-linear performance is attributed to the higher speed of the cache memory when using 10 virtual processors in CxC. EI also added new functionality for multi-dimensional arrays to CxC, based on customer demand. EI Introduces Parallel Computing Cluster With HPCxC ("C by C") parallel computing software will be a featured option on HP's LC Clusters for high performance computing. EI will showcase the new solution and enhancements to their current software Nov.17-21 in their booth #2019 at SC2003. EI Brings Supercomputing To The Power Mac G5EI's CxC parallel programming software allows scientists and engineers to easily create programs for Apple's Power Mac G5, the world's fastest personal computer. |
