P-GRADE MAXIMIZES POWER OF GRIDS, CLUSTERS, SUPERCOMPUTERS

P-GRADE is the first highly-integrated, parallel application development system for Grid, clusters and supercomputers that facilitates both Parallel Grid Run-time and fast and efficient Application Development Environment; it provides an integrated graphic development environment that facilitates Parallelization to maximize process speed, Debugging, Load Balancing, Testing, Monitoring, Performance Visualization & Analysis, real time Workflow charts Check-pointing and Migration.

P-GRADE helps to make High Performance Computing using Grids, clusters and super computers truly popular by maximizing the efficiency of computing power and simplifying the parallelization of complex software.

P-GRADE is a generic product that can supports virtually any platform. It has been used on workstation/PC clusters Intel x86/Linux, Sun UltraSPARC/Solaris SGI MIPS/Irix; on SGI Origin and Sun Enterprise Supercomputers and Condor/Condor-G as well as Globus/MPICH-G2 Grid environments.

It was developed by the Laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems at the Computer and Automation Research Institute in Budapest, Hungary.

Some of the applications that have been implemented are:

  • Ultra short range forecasting of dangerous weather situations.
  • Together with the University of Westminster Urban traffic simulations.
  • Astronomic events - simulation of the collision of galaxies
  • Smog and pollution control -- the analysis of the efficiency of smog alarm plans.
