LINUX SUITE FOR AMD OPTERON, ATHLON64 PROCESS AVAILABLE

PathScale, Inc., developer of innovative software and hardware solutions to accelerate the performance and efficiency of Linux clusters, is now accepting orders for its industry-leading suite of high-performance Linux compilers for AMD Opteron and Athlon64 processor-based systems. Initial orders for the PathScale EKO Compiler Suite have already been received from high performance computing sites in North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim. In addition, the company has enrolled a number of resellers and is continuing to sign additional new partners.

Results on real application code and industry standard benchmarks show that the PathScale Compiler Suite offers the highest performance 64-bit compilers for AMD Opteron processor-based Linux servers by a margin of up to 40 percent.

Annual subscription fees for the complete PathScale Compiler Suite start at $1,495 per license and include all appropriate software, updates, upgrades and support services for the entire year. License quantities and volume discounts are based on the number of developers using the compiler and the total number of compile servers being deployed.

PathScale also announced the appointment of Art Goldberg as its Chief Operating Officer. Goldberg has more than 35 years of experience in the high performance computing industry, including 24 years with IBM in various sales and development management positions.
