Brown University seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of
Director of the Brown University Center for Computation and Visualization
(CCV). Candidates for this position must have a PhD or equivalent degree in
an appropriate field and an established international reputation in
computational science with an interest in both pursuing and promoting research
and education involving high-performance computing and advanced visualization
techniques. The Director will be an outstanding scientist who will play a
leadership role in the continuing development and implementation of a vision
for the Center as Brown's locus of interdisciplinary research involving high-
performance computation and visualization. The director will also be expected
to teach courses in scientific computing and visualization.
The appointment will be made at the Full or Associate Professor level with
tenure in a department appropriate to the candidate's primary area of interest
and expertise. Applicants and nominees should submit a letter of interest,
