The University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute seeks to hire a hands-on
Manager for the Informatics and Data Mining User Support Group. The successful
candidate will lead a dynamic group that provides a high level of technical
support for researchers at the University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute.
In addition to managing the Informatics and Data Mining User Support Group, the
person who fills this position will also be an Informatics and Database
Consultant. The Informatics and Database Consultant assists researchers on the
design, collection, management, access, sharing and analysis of research data.
Currently most of the informatics and database consulting at the Institute is in
the areas of biology, including genomics. Therefore, a strong bioinformatics/
genomics background and Oracle expertise is required. For a complete job
