
Computer Systems Engineer

This position will provide system administration and technical support to
faculty, students and research staff using high performance computers
including Linux Clusters, storage servers and networks in a growing academic
IT support organization. REQUIRED: Skill in Linux cluster administration for
scientific HPC servers, workstations and storage, including cluster
management, grid computing, application software configuration, compilers,
parallel libraries, queuing and scheduling. Experience with IBM software GPFS,
CSM and Tivoli TSM/HSM is useful; Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and
desktop administration, installation and configuration. Providing user support
for HPC; Knowledge of system administration security and implementing disaster
recovery mechanisms; handling abuse cases; Knowledge of at least two
programming and script languages. Position also requires proficiency in
project planning and project management; ability to work independently as well
as collaborate with end users and other system administrators. For more
